Warehouse Checker

Outbound checker is responsible for selecting, storing, packing and monitoring products for the company. Checkers are also required to load products using various equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for filling individual orders by pulling the products from the warehouse shelves
  • Wrap pallets in plastic shrink wrap
  • Required to drive company equipment to take pallets to a loading dock and then loaded on the truck
  • Responsible for unloading trucks and trailers of products when product come in
  • Various other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Willingness to work occasionally outside of normal business hours
  • Must have a solid work ethic, excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others
  • Excellent customer service, and a service centered demeanor required
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and change direction mid-stream
  • Good problem solving skills ; ability to visualize a problem or situation and be creative to find solutions

Physical Qualifications:

  • Must be physically able to lift heavy loads on a seasonal basis and loads of up to 70-80 pounds on a regular basis
  • Operate forklift and power jack machines

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with a minimum of 6 months of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Able to read, write and understand English.
