Documentation

Complete all relevant health documentation for clearances.
All goods should be accompanied by a:

**** With proper documents required, non-EU certified products will be allowed for import to display only and must be enclosed in a glass display. A veterinarian will need to be present at the time of unpacking to account for products against the commercial invoice and seal the glass display after all is set. Once it is sealed, you will not have access to the physical products and can only view from the outside. At the end of the show, all products will need to be collected for destruction and a veterinarian will be present to account for products, again. Please do not donate to the food bank or remove from the venue. Further instructions on unpacking and collection schedule will be given as we get closer to the show.****

DESTINATION AGENT CHARGES

Import Administration fee: $50.00 per exhibitor

Agricultural exemption request $50.00 for almond and rice products
Import permit $250/permit if applicable

Veterinary or Plant Inspection : $230.00/health certificate if applicable
Supervisory Veterinary inspection Included

Registration for veterinary inspection: $124/health certificate if applicable
Temporary import bond cost plus 15% outlay if applicable

RETURN FREIGHT REGISTRATION – $35.00

We are happy to assist with any return freight but encourage you to consider using displays that are easily transported on your person (to reduce transport costs). Registration for return freight is NOT inclusive of transportation or handling charges ex Germany. Please keep in mind that the weight and value should exceed $255.00 for cargo to be “worth” bringing back. Foodstuff is not eligible for return to the United States.

We are able to offer on-forwarding for exhibitors looking to use their materials at another show or to a place other than return of goods to the United States. Please complete the “Return of US Goods” registration form and provide with finalized copies of documentation for any goods anticipated to return to the states.

 

TIPS & SUGGESTIONS

Please be advised that customs will be going through freight to examine compliance with EU regulations. Airfrigo USA takes incredible care to ensure that your freight is received and packed in optimal condition. Once received at destination, all cargo is broken down and loaded onto trucks for delivery. To avoid undue damage to your samples, please consider the following:

  • Consider providing a sample box with 1 of each item that you have shipped for the show. This box should be labeled “FOR HIB USE”.
  • Where possible, separate liquids from other cargo. If liquids spill, the municipality will reject and destroy the whole box.
  • If your boxes tend to be large (but not necessarily heavy), please consider the use of corner-boards to stabilize the integrity of the box when in transit. If you do not have these, kindly advise, and we will be happy to provide and apply them to your cargo for you.
